Have you ever wondered how to brand yourself on Instagram?
One of my favorite compliments is when people tell me they love my brand on Instagram!
The best part is that I don’t hire fancy photographers or spend tons of money on Lightroom presets. I write all of my captions, and I didn’t hire a storytelling coach.
Self-made baby… jk.
Branding yourself is how you become memorable; that’s the secret to a lasting business. When you narrow down what you’re all about, you will speak to the hearts of many many more people.
It took a lot of trial and error, but I’ve come up with three tips on how I created a strong brand on Instagram.
- Have lots of pictures of yo’ face. These photos always perform best on IG. Side note: I edit everything on Lightroom with 1-2 presets that give my feed a cohesive look.
- Create posting habits. I stick to 3 brand pillars so people can expect to know what I am about. Stay consistent by posting every day. My suggestion is at least four posts to your feed a week and show up on stories every day (morning, noon, and night).
- Dig deep and figure out your brand stories. I have 3-4 that I like to cycle through.
- I overcame cancer and ditched toxic beauty products. In the midst of that, I found Monat and fell in love with working online.
- I was determined to make Monat work, so I hired my first business coach and realized that my most profound passion was to help and serve others.
- I went to pays to be brave, met my second biz coach, and the rest is history. I launched my VA business, realized that corporate would never allow me to help people in the way I desired.
- I quit my corporate job to serve others because life is too damn short, and after overcoming cancer, I know that life is too precious to be tied down to a 9-5.
These three tips allowed me to make my IG following grow super quickly with a very niche audience.
